2007 In Review
This past year, I was honored to perform at several recovery treatment centers:
Hazelden Treatment Center invited me to share my recovery story and perform for patients and staff at Hazelden’s beautiful facility in Minneapolis, MN.
I gave an acoustic performance during a reception at the Men’s Healthy Spirit Conference in Palm Beach Gardens, FL just before their firewalk!
While at the Men’s Healthy Spirit Conference, I was invited to share my story and sing my songs for the women at the Orchid Treatment Center in Palm Springs, Florida.
Earlier in the year I sang at the “Recover From The Holidays” party presented by Foundations in Memphis, Tennessee.
Also, thank you to Discovery Place and Cumblerland Heights, where I have had the opportunity to perform on a regular basis. They feel like family!
And it’s always an honor to be a part of the Woman-to-Woman (Dickson, TN) and Ladybug (Savannah, GA) Retreats! I truly love meeting other women on a spiritual path.
I also had the privilege of performing songs at several Unity Churches in Tennessee and Ohio. Thanks to the following for their support:
Spiritual Living Center of Franklin (Franklin,TN)
First Church Unity (Franklin, TN)
Unity Church of Christianity (Chesterland, OH)
Unity Church For Positive Living (Old Hickory, TN)
Christ Unity Church (Chattanooga, TN)
Bookstores and Listening Rooms where I was heard playing my music this past year included
The Bluebird Café (TN)
Douglas Corner (TN)
Koffeeokee (FL)
Davis-Kidd Bookstore (TN)
Borders Books & Music (TN and MD)
AND the biggest event of the year was when my husband, Chris, and I welcomed our son, CJ, into the world on June 8th. He heard mom perform many times and he patiently waited for her to get home to Nashville after performing for patients and staff at Hazelden - - just before he was born.
"Chance to Start Over" party rocked!
Sonia's "Chance to Start Over" release party at the Bluebird Cafe was a big hit -
standing room only. On guitar was Todd Sharp (Rod Stewart, Delbert McClinton)
and on upright bass was long time Jimmy Buffett bass player, Jim Mayer. Backing her
up was Jenn Williamson. Sonia is grateful to everyone who came to the show and
helped to make it a huge success.
The Nashville Tennessean published this article following Sonia's release party. (Click here to read)

"Sonia's new CD, Chance to Start Over, is full of messages of peace, hope and metamorphosis.
Sonia intimately speaks of the multitude of emotions that one goes through when moving through a
life changing transformation - grief, fear, faith, joy and ultimately a new found sense of peace.
Her beautifully written songs leave you feeling inspired and wanting to hear more."
